2. Following this activity, how would you rate the amount of knowledge you have on the topic (1- I don’t really know enough to talk about the topic, 2- I know enough to explain what I did, 3-I know enough to repeat what I did, 4-I know enough to teach someone else, 5- I am an expert)
4- I believe I have done this activity enough and have gained enough knowledge to instruct others in doing the same.
3. Did the hands-on approach to this activity add to how much you were able to learn (1-Strongly Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-No real opinion, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree)
5- Personally, I am quite a hands-on learner, and providing step-by-step instructions and visuals contributed to my ability to finish the lab.
4. What types of learning strategies would you recommend to make the activity even better?
I believe continuing the model of providing step-by-step instructions help to contribute to students' understanding and completion of the lab. Links to examples of other blogs were a big help in finding what we want for our blogs and the different criteria that was required per AT 309.

2.
Following this activity,
how would you rate the amount of knowledge you have on the topic (1- I don’t
really know enough to talk about the topic, 2- I know enough to explain what I
did, 3-I know enough to repeat what I did, 4-I know enough to teach someone
else, 5- I am an expert)
3- There are some things I could definitely touch upon, but I know this software enough to replicate the same results
3.
Did the hands-on
approach to this activity adds to how much you were able to learn (1-Strongly
Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-No real opinion, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree)
5- I believe using the hands-on approach to this lab was very useful and helped me to show how to use the software rather than being told and shown.
4. What types of learning strategies would you recommend making the activity even better?
I think the only thing that should be changed is the tutorial that was used; the majority of what we worked on had outdated instructions which made it slightly challenging since some extra digging around was needed before some of the steps were completed.Lab 6: ArcGIS Pro
1. Prior to this activity, how would you rank yourself in knowledge about the topic. (1-No Knowledge at all, 2-Very Little Knowledge, 3-Some knowledge, 4-A good amount of knowledge, 5-I knew all about this)
4- I have worked with ArcGIS Pro before, but at the time of my first time, I did not know much of what I was doing, so this lab was really insightful on what I was doing.
2. Following this activity, how would you rate the amount of knowledge you have on the topic (1- I don’t really know enough to talk about the topic, 2- I know enough to explain what I did, 3-I know enough to repeat what I did, 4-I know enough to teach someone else, 5- I am an expert)
4- My knowledge of the software has definitely grown to a better understanding, and it will help me to grow a possible career within the geospatial data industry.
3. Did the hands-on approach to this activity add to how much you were able to learn (1-Strongly Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-No real opinion, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree)
5- Using the data that was applicable to the class and creating our own multiband composites and changing what each color value showed was valuable and informative.
What types of learning strategies would you recommend to make the activity even better?
The data was easy to use and understand; personally, I would say the lab was well developed and taught the material needed effectively. I enjoyed this lab a lot and definitely believe there shouldn't be changes to it.
Lab 8: Measure Ground Control
1. Prior to this activity, how would you rank yourself in knowledge about the topic. (1-No Knowledge at all, 2-Very Little Knowledge, 3-Some knowledge, 4-A good amount of knowledge, 5-I knew all about this)
1- I have never used Measure before or heard of it. I would have not known how to work the software.
2. Following this activity, how would you rate the amount of knowledge you have on the topic (1- I don’t really know enough to talk about the topic, 2- I know enough to explain what I did, 3-I know enough to repeat what I did, 4-I know enough to teach someone else, 5- I am an expert)
4- I feel like this lab was very informative and helpful in terms of learning how to use the software and the different features.
3. Did the hands-on approach to this activity add to how much you were able to learn (1-Strongly Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-No real opinion, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree)
5- I would have to agree again that it was helpful because it allowed us to see the different features of Measure and getting to see an actual in-depth tutorial.
What types of learning strategies would you recommend to make the activity even better?
I believe the lab in itself was useful in terms of showing us how to use the software and getting an in-depth tutorial. It might have helped by having us pull up Measure and following along with the tutorial or giving us instructions on different features that should be explored and then asking questions such as: "Switch the automated flight mode to waypoint. Now display a screenshot below of what the screen looks like." Just something that would engage students to explore the different features.
Lab 9: GCPs & Datums
Lab 10: Projections
1. Prior
to this activity, how would you rank yourself in knowledge about the topic.
(1-No Knowledge at all, 2-Very Little Knowledge, 3-Some knowledge, 4-A good
amount of knowledge, 5-I knew all about this)
2- I did not know about projections and coordinate systems for GIS work, so it was eye opening to learn about the importance of the two and seeing how it can cause problems.
2. Following
this activity, how would you rate the amount of knowledge you have on the topic
(1- I don’t really know enough to talk about the topic, 2- I know enough to
explain what I did, 3-I know enough to repeat what I did, 4-I know enough to
teach someone else, 5- I am an expert)
4- I would definitely say that this lab was very useful, and it helped me to grow my understanding of the topic.
3. Did
the hands-on approach to this activity add to how much you were able to learn
(1-Strongly Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-No real opinion, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree)
5- The hands-on approach and the lesson that was used was definitely helpful in teaching the concepts of it. I believe it was very informative and taught me a lot.
What types of learning
strategies would you recommend to make the activity even better?
The way the lab was set up helped a lot in terms of teaching students and delivering the content effectively. The lab is already set up in a way that is very helpful and useful to keep using.
Lab 11: Arc Collector
1. Prior
to this activity, how would you rank yourself in knowledge about the topic.
(1-No Knowledge at all, 2-Very Little Knowledge, 3-Some knowledge, 4-A good
amount of knowledge, 5-I knew all about this)
4- I understood the concept of GCPs and their importance, but I have not gone out and actually collected some.
2. Following
this activity, how would you rate the amount of knowledge you have on the topic
(1- I don’t really know enough to talk about the topic, 2- I know enough to
explain what I did, 3-I know enough to repeat what I did, 4-I know enough to
teach someone else, 5- I am an expert)
4- I would definitely say my understanding of using Arc Collector is more in-depth and I could easily recreate what I did.
3. Did
the hands-on approach to this activity add to how much you were able to learn
(1-Strongly Disagree, 2-Disagree, 3-No real opinion, 4-Agree, 5-Strongly Agree)
5- The hands-on approach helped a lot in this lab, since we were able to go out and actually create GCPs and see what the collection process is like.
What types of learning strategies would you recommend to make the activity even better?
I honestly believe that this lab was very helpful, but I think the use of two different tutorials brought out a lot of redundancy, but it led to an important aspect of using Collector: creating maps, so this lab was very well structured.
