Field Notes on 4/5/21

  • GCPs must be placed and turned on in sequence
    • DO NOT move once placed or otherwise ruins the data
    • DO NOT place nearby obstructions otherwise the location for the GCP is scrambled
  • Types of flights for today:
    • Mapping mission that covers the field and burn spot
    • SRT file mission along the tree lines
  • PPK used for GPS info instead of using GCPs
  • Highly accurate and useful
  • The M600 does not talk directly to the PPK
  • Xenmuse XT2 has IR & RGB
    • Two separate SD card slots
